Ride E: 20 Miles
Gardener's Paradise

Carmarthenshire has long been known as the Garden of Wales and not without good reason. As well as its lush green countryside, it also hosts the beautiful National Botanical Garden, a spectacle well worth a visit whilst you're in the area.

This is a long ride but there are plenty of distractions along the way, so take your time and make a real day of it. First stop should be Dryslwyn Castle, once connected to nearby Dinefwr Castle, as a lookout post for the whole area. Leave plenty of time for coffee or lunch in the delightful Terrace Restaurant in Aberglasney Gardens and then continue westwards to the Botanical Gardens themselves, which really is a hidden gem and well worth a good look around.

If you haven't stopped already, you can get a snack or a meal in the nearby village of Llantharne, before returning via the spectacular folly of Paxton Tower and through the lovely Gelli Aur Country Park.
