Ride B: 20.4 Miles
Around the shores of Llangors Lake
Just a short distance from Brecon, Llangors Lake is the largest natural lake in South Wales and, in fact, the second largest in the whole of Wales.
It provides an important habitat for water based wildlife such as birds and dragonflies and is a marvellous place to while away a few hours on a sunny summer afternoon.
This medium length tour follows mainly easy roads from Brecon to the village of Talyllyn, where it makes a circuit of the lake, linking together many small villages. There are opportunities to visit both the bird watching hide at Llangasty Talyllyn and the picnic area near Llangors, as well as a number of decent hostelries along the way.
It's also possible to make a shorter ride by starting at the main Lakeside car park, where bike hire is available, and then following the circular section of the route.
