Brecon Cycling Days Out

Take a Carbon Free day out whilst in Brecon Beacons National Park, leave the car behind and enjoy a leisurely cycle ride along country lanes. There are five routes which start from an easy 6 mile canal route:
- Ride A -Brynich Lock & Brecon Canal (6 miles) [with map] with a half way stop at a pub!
- Ride B - Around the Shores of Llangors (16 miles) [with map] A glorious route to Llangors Lake with outstanding views of the Brecon Beacons which is a moderate 16 miles.
- Ride C - Top of Talybont Reservoir (26 miles) [with map] A climb up to the top of Talybont reservoir but well worth the effort with outstanding views from the top. A good day out with a distance of 26 miles.
- Ride D - Sarn Helen and the Roman Road (22 miles) [with map] A hilly 22 mile route but with an easy gradient and a welcome sight of the National Park Visitor Centre at the top.
- Ride E - Llanthony Priory & Gospel Pass (52 miles) [with map] A huge 52 miles, so maybe not a day ride for most, but a stop overnight would refresh the legs!
These routes are produced by the Wales Cycle Break Centre Partnership, and route cards can be downloaded from their website.
